Industrial and Wholesale

Santee Cooper offers the Large Light & Power Schedule and six associated riders to customers with large, industrial-type electrical requirements.

Customers served under this schedule must contract for at least 1,000 kW of demand and receive service directly from or near our transmission system.

The six riders provide for different types of service. When combined with the firm service delivered under the Large Light & Power Schedule, customers can tailor their service agreement to suit their specific needs based on load factor, ability to reduce load, or ability to align operations with periods during which Santee Cooper can provide energy at lower cost. This is especially important to manufacturers whose electrical operating costs comprise a significant percentage of their finished product costs.

A brief description of each type of service is listed below, along with a link to the full schedule or rider. Please be sure to consult an Industrial Services representative at 843-761-4063 if you are considering service under the Large Light & Power offerings. We can review the advantages of each rider and provide operating cost estimates based on your projected loads.

This schedule provides firm service, available whenever a customer chooses to use it, at essentially the same price all the time. All Large Light & Power customers receive some firm service. The Terms and Conditions of Large Power Electric Service are set forth in Attachment A to this schedule.
